The Victorian Hemp Association (VHA) Field Day, which will take place this Sunday, February 9th, at 10 a.m., at the Nanneella Hall, will be a great event for anyone interested in hemp farming and its applications. Dan Walker’s experience growing a small trial crop will be insightful and practical for anyone considering growing hemp.  

The event will also explore topics like licensing, harvesting, and markets for hemp, with a special focus on construction uses, such as hemp homes. Tom Smith will speak about the establishment of Pyramid Hill Hemp and his investment in infrastructure for processing and decorticating hemp for various markets. This processing facility could be a game-changer for the industry, especially with the potential of hemp fibre becoming a more sustainable alternative to synthetic materials.
